On March 10, 2023, His Excellency Gorgui CISS, Ambassador of Senegal to Japan received in audience Mrs. HIROSE SATOMI General Manager of LASTRE BUSINESS COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION, ATLANTIS LTD, FOUNDER of SATOMI PROJECT and her team.
During this meeting, Mrs. HIROSE gave a general presentation of the SATOMI PROJECT program by highlighting the reasons that led her to set up this project. She also praised her commitment to further support youth employment in Africa.
His Excellency Gorgui CISS, in his speech, expressed his heartfelt thanks to Mrs. HIROSE SATOMI. He congratulated the entire team for this very relevant and well-structured program that further strengthens the cooperation between Japan and Senegal.
Excellence CISS is committed to supporting and accompanying the SATOMI PROJECT program. He urged Mrs. HIROSE to make the working trip to Senegal in order to meet with the Senegalese authorities for a wide dissemination of this program for the benefit of young Senegalese and Africans.
SWORKING SESSION BETWEEN MR MATSUBARA KOSUKE, SECRETARY OF THE AMBASSADOR OF
JAPAN TO SENEGAL, AND MR AMADOU LAMINE THIAM, REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SATOMI PROJECT IN FRENCH-SPEAKING AFRICA
On Thursday, April 6, 2023, Mr. Matsubara Kosuke, Secretary to the Ambassador of Japan to Senegal and Mr. Amadou Lamine Thiam, representative of the Satomi Project in Francophone Africa held a working session on the conditions for the implementation of the SATOMI PROJECT program in Senegal, but especially on a better structuring of the program that will meet consular standards.
At the end of this working session, Mr. MATSUBARA said he was very satisfied with the conditions of which the program was established. He reiterated his support and commitment to the SATOMI PROJECT in Senegal.

On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, His Excellency JEAN ANTOINE DIOUF, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Senegal and new Ambassador of Senegal to Japan received in audience Mrs. HIROSE SATOMI, Director of LASTRE BUSINESS COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION / ATLANTIS LTD / FOUNDER OF SATOMI PROJECT and her team.
During this meeting, Mrs. HIROSE gave a general presentation of the Satomi Project program. She also praised her commitment to further support the employment of young Africans.
His Excellency JEAN ANTOINE DIOUF, expressed his heartfelt thanks to Mrs. HIROSE SATOMI. He congratulated the entire team on this very interesting program that further strengthens the cooperation between Japan and Senegal.
He pledged to make this project a focal point in his new mission as Senegal's ambassador to Japan. He says he is ready to accompany and support this project.

On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, His Excellency IZAWA, Ambassador of Japan to Senegal received in audience Mrs. HIROSE SATOMI, Director of LASTRE BUSINESS COPERATIVE ASSOCIATION / ATLANTIS LTD / FOUNDER OF SATOMI PROJECT and her team.
During this interview, Mrs. HIROSE gave a general presentation of the SATOMI PROJECT program. Through this program, it is committed to further strengthening cooperation between Japan and Senegal through training and professional integration of young Africans who have graduated in Japan.
His Excellency Izawa Osamu warmly congratulated Mrs. Satomi Hirose for this program which in its essence strengthens relations between Japan and Africa. He says that through this project, Japanese culture and language will be promoted in Africa with legal immigration pathways for young people. Excellence IZAWA affirms that the success of this project in Senegal will be a glory for its mission, hence its commitment to support this program.
PRESENTATION CEREMONY OF THE SATOMI PROJECT AT THE SENEGAL JAPAN VOCATIONAL AND ECHNICAL TRAINING CENTER (C.F.P.T) SENEGAL JAPAN
On May 4, 2023, a conference was held on the presentation of the SATOMI PROJECT at the Senegal Japan Professional and Technical Training Center (C.F.P.T) in front of hundreds of young students and professionals.
The event took place under the participation of Mrs. HIROSE SATOMI, General Manager of LASTRE BUSINESS COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION/ ATLANTIS LTD / FOUNDER OF SATOMI PROJECT, representatives of the Embassy of Japan in Senegal, the JICA team and the administration of the SENEGAL JAPAN Vocational and Technical Training Center.
AUDIENCE OF MRS. HIROSE SATOMI, WITH MR. PAPE MALICK NDOUR, MINISTER OF YOUTH, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND EMPLOYMENT
On May 5, 2023, Mr. Pape Malick Ndour, Minister of Youth, Entrepreneurship and Employment of Senegal received Mrs. HIROSE SATOMI, Director of LASTRE BUSINESS COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION / ATLANTIS LTD / FOUNDER OF SATOMI PROJECT and her team.
After an overall presentation of the SATOMI PROJECT program, the Minister congratulated Mrs. HIROSE and pledged to support the project by subsidizing the costs of Japanese language training and the travel expenses of the future Senegalese young people participating.
Thus, the signing of an agreement will materialize the partnership between the SATOMI PROJECT and the Ministry of Youth, Entrepreneurship and Employment.
SIGNING CEREMONY OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SATOMI PROJECT, THE MINISTRY OF YOUTH AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP OF SENEGAL AND CESAG
On Monday, June 19, 2023, the official signing ceremony of the agreement between the SATOMI PROJECT, the MINISTRY OF YOUTH, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND EMPLOYMENT and the AFRICAN CENTER FOR GRADUATE STUDIES IN MANAGEMENT (CESAG) took place under the sponsorship and participation of His Excellency IZAWA OSAMU, Ambassador of Japan to Senegal.
This event marks the official launch of the SATOMI PROJECT in Senegal.
MEETING AND WORKING SESSION BETWEEN THE SATOMI PROJECT TEAM AND THE MEMBERS OF THE JICA REGIONAL OFFICE
On June 14th, the SATOMI PROJECT team and members of the JICA regional office held a working session for better assistance in the field of training students on the Japanese language.
This meeting took place in the presence of Mrs. SATOMI HIROSE, Director of SATOMI PROJECT and her team, Mr. HIROMICHI MORISHITA: Regional Director and Resident Representative, Mrs. Rei Goto: Project Formulation Advisor.
At the end of this working session, the JICA regional office decided to support the SATOMI PROJECT in Senegal by sending Japanese volunteers to CESAG in order to better strengthen the learning of the Japanese language for students.
OFFICIAL FOUNDING CEREMONY OF THE SATOMI PROJECT AT CESAG
On Friday, October 13, 2023, we attended the official launch of the SATOMI PROJECT in Senegal.
The event took place in the presence of the Minister of Youth, Entrepreneurship and Employment, H.E. Mr. Izawa, Ambassador of Japan to Senegal, the Deputy Director of CESAG, Mrs. Hirose Satomi, Director of LASTRE BUSINESS COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION/ATLANTIS LTD and founder of the SATOMI PROJECT, Mr. Watanabe, DIRECTOR OF SOCIER GROUP, bringing together more than 10 companies in Japan being a major partner of the SATOMI PROJECT and several young students and professionals Preset.
During the ceremony, the speakers saluted and congratulated those who worked tirelessly for the realization of this project which will further strengthen cooperation between Senegal and Japan.

WORKING SESSION BETWEEN THE HONORABLE HIROFUMI SATO, CHAIRMAN OF THE YOKOHAMA CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS' LEAGUE FOR JAPAN-AFRICA FRIENDSHIP AND THE SATOMI PROJECT TEAM
Le 8 Mars 2024, l’équipe de SATOMI PROJECT a effectué une séance de travail avec l’honorable HIROFUMI SATO, Président de la Ligue des Membres du Conseil Municipal de Yokohama pour l’Amitié entre le Japon et l’Afrique. L’objectif de cette rencontre était de discuter sur les possibilités d’introduire le programme de SATOMI PROJECT parmi les sujets de discutions lors de la prochaine TICAD (Tokyo International Conférence on African Développements). La TICAD est un forum ouvert auquel participent non seulement les pays africains mais aussi les organisations internationales, le secteur privé et la société civile qui œuvrent au développement de l'Afrique, et où la sagesse et les efforts des uns et des autres sont réunis et discutés afin de contribuer efficacement au développement de l'Afrique. La TICAD promeut l'appropriation africaine et le partenariat international. Depuis le lancement de la TICAD en 1993, le gouvernement japonais déploie des efforts fondés sur l’esprit de soutien au développement dirigé par l’Afrique. Grace au processus TICAD, le Japon approfondira davantage ses relations avec les pays africains. A la sortie de cette séance de travail, l’honorable HIROFUMI SATO a magnifié toute sa satisfaction pour le SATOMI PROJECT et s’est réjouis de voir la mise en place de tels programmes visant à promouvoir la culture et langue japonaise, ce qui favorise l’échange humaine entre le Japon et l’Afrique. Il a exhorté l’équipe de SATOMI PROJECT a collaboré avec l’ambassade du Japon au Sénégal, l’ambassade du Sénégal au Japon et les autorités sénégalaises compétentes pour faire une meilleure diffusion du programme de SATOMI PROJECT lors de la prochaine TICAD qui se déroulera à YOKOHAMA en 2025.

On March 26, 2024, His Excellency Jean Antoine Diouf received in audience Mrs. Hirose Satomi, Director of LASTRE BUSINESS COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION / ATLANTIS LTD and her team.
During this meeting, the ambassador again congratulated Mrs. SATOMI HIROSE and her entire team and said he was ready to accompany the SATOMI PROJECT for a presence at the next TICAD.
AUDIENCE WITH HIS EXCELLENCY IZAWA, AMBASSADOR OF JAPAN TO SENEGAL
On April 30, 2024, Mr. Amadou Lamine Thiam, Representative Director of LASTRE BUSINESS COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION / ATLANTIS LTD / Representative of SATOMI PROJECT in French-speaking Africa received in audience by his Excellency IZAWA, Ambassador of Japan to Senegal presented the bimonthly evaluation report and the report of the improvement and development activities of the SATOMI PROJECT program.
The ambassador, very satisfied with the progress, decided to bring the SATOMI PROJECT program to the ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9) which will be held from August 20 to 22, 2025 in Yokohama.

On July 22, 2024, Mrs. Khady Diene Gaye, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture received in audience Mrs. Hirose Satomi, General Manager of Lastre Business Cooperative Association / Atlantis Ltd / Atlantis Sn Co LTD and founder of SATOMI PROJECT.
The discussions focused on the consolidation and continuity of the SATOMI PROJECT program in Senegal.

On July 24, 2024, Mr. Amadou Cherif Diouf, Secretary of State in charge of Senegalese Abroad, received in audience Mrs. Hirose Satomi, General Director of Lastre Business Cooperative Association / Atlantis Ltd / Atlantis Sn Co Ltd and Founder of Satomi Project.
The discussions focused on the prospects for organizing training seminars and skills tests specific to Senegal.
