MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

My name is Satomi HIROSE, a Japanese national, and I am the Director of the companies LASTRE BUSINESS COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION and ATLANTIS Co Ltd.

Our activities cover several areas: a nursing care facility, a clinic and a recruitment agency. Currently, our company counts up to 150 employees from various cultural and national backgrounds, including China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Nepal, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Ecuador, Russia, Turkey, Senegal, Gabon, Nigeria, and Kenya.

During my previous trips to Africa, I had the opportunity to meet many talented young graduates who, despite their skills, struggle to find a job in their home countries. Noting this reality, I decided to create the SATOMI PROJECT, a program dedicated to supporting the professional integration of young African graduates wishing to come and work in Japan.

In recent years, the Japanese government has implemented a new visa, the "Specified Skilled Worker", allowing qualified foreigners to work in Japan. Through this scheme, the SATOMI PROJECT offers African students and young professionals the opportunity to receive training, gain valuable professional experience and, ultimately, return to their country with strengthened skills and solid means to contribute to its development.

Through this project, we want to build a bridge between Japan and Africa, combining training, employment and sharing of expertise, to create sustainable and mutually beneficial prospects.
